Our stay at Villa Pina was quite enjoyable! The hotel showcases a charming historical appeal, complemented by stunning views over the Bay of Naples and the island of Capri. While the rooms hold a vintage charm, they could use a bit of modernization to enhance comfort. The dining experience was a highlight, offering delicious meals and a great variety. However, we faced some challenges with room availability, which was not an ideal start to our holiday.

Rooms

The rooms had an old-fashioned charm, though some furnishings were quite dated and in need of refurbishment. Still, we enjoyed the fantastic view from our balcony, which made up for some of the shortcomings.

My stay at Villa Pina was quite a mixed experience. While I appreciated the authentic Italian charm and the spaciousness of the rooms, the overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. The dining experience was enjoyable with delicious meals, but the location was a bit isolated and the ambiance was overshadowed by the noise from the busy road outside. Overall, I was glad to explore the area but wouldn't recommend staying here for an extended period.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a lovely Mediterranean style, complete with a fridge and air conditioning, which made for a comfortable stay. However, certain areas were in need of attention as cleanliness was not up to standard.
Service
5.0
The service was reasonably accommodating, and staff were eager to assist whenever we had needs. However, the general chaos, including smoking in common areas, detracted from the experience.
Location
5.0
The hotel is positioned at a dangerous blind bend, making access tricky. Moreover, it's a fair distance to local attractions, so be prepared to rely on the bus service, which can be quite busy.
Dining
8.0
Dining was a highlight, with ample options to choose from and tasty food that often stood out. It was refreshing to have such a diverse menu that managed to capture authentic flavors.
Facilities
5.0
While the rooftop area had potential for great views, it greatly needed more maintenance and shade. The facilities are very basic and lack any real amenities.

The hotel offers stunning views over the Bay of Naples and provides a unique glimpse into traditional Italian charm. The family-run aspect adds to this delightful experience. However, the rooms are in need of modernization, and some guests might find navigating the steep steps and the location to be a challenge. Dining options can be inconsistent, with room for improvement in quality and variety.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were outdated and some had issues with the showers being cramped. While I accepted their vintage charm, it really affected my overall comfort.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and genuinely tried to make our stay enjoyable, but the service could be slow, especially during busy times.
Location
5.0
The location requires some caution as it's situated on a busy road with steep paths leading to the hotel, which may not be ideal for everyone.
Dining
5.0
While the dining room offered breathtaking views, the food quality was often disappointing, with limited choices at times.
Facilities
5.0
Although there were some lovely areas, such as a charming garden, the facilities felt dated and in need of upgrades.

I had a lovely week at the hotel with truly spectacular views of Capri and Vesuvius from our room. The family-run atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel at home. While the dining experience had its highlights, such as the quality of evening meals, the breakfast could use some variety. The bus service to Sorrento was convenient, but the hotel’s location, being a bit isolated, made it necessary to rely on transportation for exploring.

Rooms

Our room was simple yet very clean, featuring a stunning balcony view that was absolutely worth it. However, some aspects felt a bit dated.

Situated a bit outside Sorrento, it provided beautiful surroundings, though walking to the town felt a bit risky due to the lack of pavements.
